With WordPress Blogs, Facebook, and of course You Tube coming into their own in recent years, Online Marketing on the internet has become somewhat of a niche of its own. It no longer requires a “fat wallet” to succeed online anymore. You just have to master the skills blogging, Facebook marketing and learn how to make videos.
You have to really first understand your market before you can try to sell to them with your content and website. What I mean by this is to present yourself on your website as someone that your market can trust. If you are in a rock band and are selling your CD on your website, you probably don’t want to have a video on there with you dressed up in a suit sitting at some ritzy desk. And on the other hand, if you are selling a business solution you won’t want to be dressed up as a rocker.
There are so many types of web hosting services like shared, dedicated, reseller etc. available in the market to suit the needs of various customers. The cost varies from type to type and based on the type of your blog, you need to choose the one that is most economical to you. You cannot spend a lot on web hosting services if your blog is going to be your online journal and not for any business. In that case there are so many cheap web hosting services that could serve your purpose and at the same time not WordPress blogs burn your pockets.

I have a number of till bloggen blogs, and this superb application allows me to update my blog directly, and add posts and pages, check comments and all see your visitor statistics, all while sitting on the train. It allows for multiple blogs, and is easy to switch between them.
On the flip side, it is really difficult to track the general buzz addition that an article site adds. Since I started the blog in August, my site visits have been doubling every month. That’s certainly OK with me and more than I had been expecting. That HAS to be in some part to these sites. While my traffic is still nowhere near stellar, my goal of 100,000 visits a month now certainly looks doable.
Optimize each blog post for a low competition long tail keyword phrase – before you make a blog post take some time to do a little keyword research. Visit the Google AdWords Keyword tool and use this to find a long tail keyword phrase that has a low amount of competition. Ideally this phrase will have just a few hundred monthly searches rather than a few thousand monthly searches. Use a different keyword phrase for every blog post that you make and put the keyword phrase in the blog post title and 2-3 times throughout the post.
